CONCERT REVIEW

DIRTY DICK” LIVE AT KENNY’S CASTAWAYS

September 4th 2003

I recently had the pleasure dare I say the privilege of attending a live performance of what I consider the future of Rock ‘n Roll in New York City. I saw Dirty Dick!”

When attending a concert I can judge how things are going to go by just looking at the crowd.  Well this crowd was ready to pop, I counted no less then 10 well endowed women all wearing “Dirty Dick” tank tops.  I knew I had come to the right place.  From the opening cords of You Like It the guitar playing and vocals of front man Frankie “Dirty Dick” Fulleda had me pumping my fist in the air screaming, “Long Live Rock!”

“Dirty Dicks” partner in crime is Chris Voos and while his backing vocals proved more then adequate “The Phoenix” woke the dead with his drums.  Every time he hit his drums you felt the pulse pounding thunder all the way down to the bottom of your soul.  The set included 7 new originals that show original ideas still exist in music.

“Dirty Dick” blew the crowd away with power rock anthems like Lies, 69 Lover, and Hell.  What made the show truly special was knowing just when to take in down a notch with power ballad For Him.

I knew that when I returned home that night I would be throwing out any and all CD’s, Tapes, LP and 8-Tracks I had ever owned as the music had a new name and it’s name is “Dirty Dick.”

There are new rumors circulating that the band has added two new members that and the promise of new songs will keep this reviewer wanting more “Dirty Dick.”

On the hard rocking scale I give the Dirty Dick show 9 THUMBS UP!
